nhow Amsterdam RAI is a social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is located in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base.

For this iconic social hub, we are looking for a Food & Beverage Intern who is enthusiastic, proactive, and is ready to take part in a dynamic design hotel. The Banqueting (or the Meeting & Events Operations team as we call it) is small but mighty. You operate mainly on the 23rd floor of the nhow RAI hotel where our 10 meeting rooms are located. The team international and consists of 4 core colleagues, an intern, and flex-pool of colleagues.

What's in it for us?

  • You are currently enrolled in hospitality management, events, or similar course and this internship is required by your school;
  • Very good command of English;
  • You can work independently as well as in a team and you have a guest-oriented attitude;
  • You are stress resistant, you have good communication skills and you have a flexible attitude in terms of working hours and work pressure;
  • In addition, you are innovative, resourceful, have a commercial attitude and are available for at least 4 months.

What are you going to do?

As a Food & Beverage Intern - Banqueting you will learn all the ins-and-outs of running various meetings and events in a large hotel. This can range from a small boardroom meeting for 10 pax, an all-day meeting for 80 pax including lunch and breaks, to an product launch for 200 pax with open bar and walk-in dinner in the evening. You will be involved in the preparation for the meeting, the set-up of the meeting room, meet & greet the guests, troubleshooting during the events, food and drink service, clearing up and break-down of the events.
