nhow Amsterdam RAI is a social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base.
For this iconic social hub, we are looking for energetic, structured, and creative personality, who is ready to take part in a dynamic design hotel. You will be the memory-maker by creating elevated stay of our guests.
What are you going to do.
Guest Relations department is a part of Reception. The difference is that you will be taking an extra care of the guests. Several examples are that you will be placing in-room amenities, meeting and talking to our VIPs, setting up surprises for guest in the rooms, keeping an eye on guest reviews and overall quality scores, you will be keeping your hotel colleagues up to date with what's going on, and much more. You will also be involved in handling guests' complaints.
The team is bubbly, creative, and international. Good to keep in mind that the shifts start either at 8, 10, or 13 and you will be sometimes working in weekends.
A day in the life of a Guest Relations rock star
08:00 You arrive, in uniform, with a cup of coffee in the back office. You check the VIPs arriving that day, read the reports from yesterday, and plan the day
09:00 Prepare VIP amenities, cards, balloons, cakes, etc.
10:00 Catch up with the emails and guests' requests and get back to those
12:00 Enjoy your lunch with colleagues from other departments.
13:00 You support your reception colleagues at the reception and in the lobby by connecting with guests, helping with luggage, or check in/out
14:00 Help guests with recommendations for what to do and where to go in Amsterdam
14:45 Prepare the VIP cards for the following day, check the planning for the following day and handover to your colleague
16:00 Time to go home!

- You are currently enrolled at the bachelor's education in a topic close to hospitality (travel & tourism, hotel management, etc.) – this point is a must-have;
- You naturally want to connect with people, get to know our guests, and adapt the service to them
- You have an experience working with guests from different cultures, preferably in travel & tourism
- You are organized, spontaneous, and have an eye for detail
- You have ideas and you are not afraid turning them into reality
- You need to be able to speak and write well in English; we are excited if you bring another language along.
